Happy Father’s Day

What a beautiful Sunday and a perfect day to celebrate the wonderful father’s in our lives. This year is especially important because it is Dana’s first Father’s Day and Isla and I are excited to celebrate the day with him. We started the day off with letting Dana sleep in and then Isla and I made him a delicious breakfast.

We then went to the Farmer’s Market!
Took a walk around the park!
Showed Isla the splash pad that we are excited to take her too!
Took a family selfie which Isla wasn’t too impressed about!
And realized that she desperately needs a haircut!

Dana has been such a wonderful dad in the short time he has had so far. I always knew that he would be a wonderful father but to actual see him with Isla has been the most beautiful thing I could ever imagine. They have a bond that only a father and daughter can have. They play together, laugh together, sing together, sleep together and love together. Isla looks at her daddy like she knows he is going to always be there for her and keep her safe. Dana looks at Isla as if she is a treasure and doesn’t know how he is the lucky man that found it.

Is has been a blessing to watch them together and I can’t wait to watch there relationship grow and grow everyday.

Thank you Dana for being such a wonderful man, father, husband, friend and provider. We couldn’t do it without you.

One of my favourite pictures of father and daughter.
Isla looks just like her daddy!

Now, I can’t say thank you to Isla’s daddy without saying thank you to my own. Thank you dad for being the best father a girl could ever ask for. I could never even dream up in my head a father as perfect as you.  You have been nothing but the most loving, caring, helpful, supportive and funny man. You would give the shirt off your back to anyone in need. You are always willing to go above and beyond and I couldn’t imagine…even for a second, my life without you as my dad! How did I ever get so lucky?! You have always used your charm to leave a lasting impression and now you have done that with Isla. So incredibly blessed to call you my dad and now grandpa.

I hope that all of you dad’s out there are having a perfect day with the ones you love.
