Happy Thanksgiving to all of my Canadian readers! Even if you don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, thanks for stopping by today.
This year I have been blessed to have spent a wonderful Saturday with my husband and daughter picking out our pumpkins to carve at a local pumpkin patch, which was then followed by a turkey dinner and then a colourful Sunday drive home to visit my family for the day which did involve, you guessed it…stuffing my face with more delicious food.
Let me get a little sentimental on you here and tell you the things that I am thankful for this year. And not just this year but every day of my life.
My Heavenly Father – My faith helps we live every day with love in my heart and light in my life. Knowing that God has everything planned out for me and is here helping me through all of it makes me thankful for everyday I have on this earth.
Our Sweet Daughter Isla – She is by far the greatest blessing and joy in my life. Everyday I am thankful that I am her mommy and that I get to experience life with her.
My Husband – This man continues to work his butt off to be able to provide for his family. He is a great father who loves Father-Daughter days, cooking delicious dinners and cuddling on the couch afterwards. He is truly my better half.
Family – I have said it many times before and I will say it again. How I was ever so lucky to be born into this family I have, I will never know. The constant love, laughs and support I get from my parents, sister, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins is out of this world. Family is the most important thing and mine I am incredibly thankful for.
A Happy Home – A roof over our head, food on the table, a warm house in the winter and a cool house in the summer is something we can all take for granted. I am thankful for all these things.
Work – I am thankful for a job I enjoy and love going to everyday. I am thankful for a paycheck to help support my family and I am thankful for time out of the house to do my own thing and be my own person.
Creativity – Crafting, drawing, sewing and blogging. I am thankful to be able to express myself and have hobbies. I truly believe they make me a better person.
Technology – I am thankful for the fact that I can text my family on a daily basis, send videos and photos of Isla’s daily doings, FaceTime and basically not miss out on anything in one another’s lives. It makes not seeing them everyday a lot easier.
I hope that you take the time to think about what you are thankful for this Thanksgiving and everyday. I hope you enjoy the pictures below of our day at the pumpkin patch.
