Summer Reading List

I love, love, love to read. I used to read a book a week. No joke. I couldn’t get enough of them. I once read an article that said everyone should read at least a book a week and that it’s a way to feel more, learn more, dream more and love life more. To me, I feel like that means reading a book will enhance every aspect of you and your life. This summer I am determined to start reading more again. Although I now have a little one that takes up most of my time, a blog and a full time job, I want to set aside at least 15 minutes a day to read a good book. I have some holidays coming up and a couple of long road trips so my goal is to get through all of these books in the next couple of months. I am sharing this all with so that you can hold me accountable if I fail!
I have picked 4 books. Each one I feel offers inspiration, laughter and ways to make your life better.
I have blogged about this book before. Brit & Co is one of my favourite bloggers and this guide is fantastic. It talks all about being a homemaker for this day in age. Setting a dinner table, tips for doing laundry and even creating a beautiful balloon backdrop can all be found in this book.
Gretchen Rubin is the author of “The Happiness Project” which is one of my favourite books. I was so excited to hear that she had just come out with this book. It’s a “bettering your life” kind of book and I can’t wait to get into it.
You can probably see a pattern here but I love books that give you insight into life and this one is all about taking the leap and doing the things that you have always wanted to do. I am almost done it and it has been so inspiring to me. I also love that it’s set up like a work book so you can journal it in and jot down notes while you are reading.
I think this will be a fun read!
It’s all about a family vacation filled with love, laughter and I am sure some drama!

So, I am closing my laptop and I am going to finish “Make it Happen” and then get started on the next. Wish me luck!

Do you have any books you are excited to read this summer?!
