I suddenly just did a double take at the calendar on our fridge and realized that holy sh** I am 36 weeks and don’t have anything packed for the hospital. I had a sudden freak out and realized that I had to get my booty in gear and get some things set aside for baby boys arrival and our hospital stay. I wish I could remember all of the things I really used for my last delivery but I honestly can’t. I know that comfy clothes were a must for myself and sleepers with buttons were a big thing for Isla. I wish I would of brought a nursing pillow the first time around so I definitely added it to my list this time so I wouldn’t forget.
If you have never been through labour before, I will warn you now that your lady parts for obvious reasons will be tender and uncomfortable so DO NOT forget thick pads and comfortable cotton “granny panties” as they call them in the next size up then you would normally wear. Trust me, you will not want that cute pink lace thong with the rhinestones on it! Think of your whole hospital stay as a time when you really can just wear sweats and be comfy the whole time and totally get away with it.
Well, I am off to pack my go bag. If you can think of anything else I should be packing, please let me know. For now, have a look at my own personal list and download the FREE Printable to have for your own reference and checkoff items as you go!
