My Turquoise Home

Isla’s Nursery

When we found out we were having a girl, I was so excited to get started on her nursery. I had envisioned a white nursery with one colourful wall, and then pops of colour everywhere else. I wanted her nursery to feel fun with a hint of the tropics. I wanted it to be place where she would enjoy being as she gets older. I remember when we first brought her home from the hospital, she looked around the room wide eyed! I still have yet to figure out if she loved what she saw or was thinking “Oh my goodness mommy….what did you do!”

Isla’s Bookshelf carrying the many wonderful books she has received so far.

The beautiful glider my grandparents got me. We had it reupholstered with a fun and colourful fabric.

Isla’s crib. She doesn’t sleep in it yet, but we will remove everything before she does.

Changing station complete with all of her cloth diapers.

Super fun and super cute mobile.

Wall art that I made. The birds were all white and I painted them some bright colours. I also did the 3 frames with scrapbooking paper. So simple and cheap to do with items you may already have lying around your house.

The tulle balls and frame I did on my own as well. The tulle balls were so fun to make!

I also did the letters and frame above her crib with the Cricket cutting machine.

Thanks for reading.
