Baby Bump Update: 28 Weeks


Pretty much everything you can get I have been getting. I am still very nauseated throughout this pregnancy and enjoying lots of lower abdomen pain, back pain, leg cramps and heartburn. Trying to look at the positive side that we only have 3 months to go until we meet our little one and knowing that I am so blessed to experience pregnancy again.

Pregnancy health:
Same things mentioned above and I still have to take Dyclecton for my nausea. I hoped I wouldn’t have to refill my prescription but I went a few days without it and just felt terrible again with day and night nausea. The last blood work I had done showed an improvement in my Hyperthyroidism. Still not completely out of the woods yet but definitely not feeling as tired as I initially was. I just had my blood tested again for it so we will see if that has completely cleared up. Also just had my Glucose test done and waiting to get those results back. Haven’t heard anything so no news is good news.

Total weight gain:
Every checkup I have been gaining weight. My most recent checkup on Friday I had gained 6 POUNDS in 3 weeks.

Maternity clothes?
Definitely wearing all maternity clothing and invested in some more comfy sweatpants and leggings.

Stretch marks?
No. I didn’t get any with Isla and so far nothing with this pregnancy. I think it has a lot to do with genetics but I also religiously use lotion. Right now I am obsessed with the Belly Butter from Eco Chic Movement and it has helped with the itchiness of a growing tummy and kept it super moisturized.

Sleep?! What sleep?! Isla has recently moved into a big girl bed which has caused some sleepless nights and constant wakeups. I am also just feeling a lot more uncomfortable this pregnancy so finding it hard to fall asleep and stay asleep. I think this is all preparing me for the newborn phase again!

Miss Anything?
Sleeping through the night and generally feeling like myself. Oh and wine!

Lots and lots of movement happening. Little man is very active first thing in the morning and at night.

Food cravings:
Anything crunchy like salads, fruits and vegetables and anything sour or chocolate. Also loving ice cream and Honey Nut Cheerios.

Anything making you queasy or sick?
Anything can really set me off and it changes daily. Right now I am not into meat or eating anything really heavy.

Belly Button in or out?
Still In!

Wedding rings on or off?
On. No swelling yet.

Looking forward to:
Meeting with our OBGYN for the first time this pregnancy and finding out my blood work results.

Baby stats:
We found out that we are being blessed with a baby boy! You can see our gender reveal here!
Our Anatomy scan couldn’t have gone better and baby is growing and doing everything he should be. At this moment he is about 2 lbs and getting bigger by the day.

Below are some scattered photos from this pregnancy. Weeks go by and sometimes I forget to document my growth. The button picture is 16, 20, 21 and 24 weeks.

27 weeks
28 weeks. My sidekick wasn’t home so I had to take a bathroom selfie and yes I realize my numbers are backwards because of this.
